Group Chats: A Monthly Discussion Series

LGBTQ+ Mental Health

In light of Pride Month, we're shining a light on mental health in the LGBTQ+ communities. For many LGBTQ+ people, socioeconomic and cultural conditions will negatively impact and aggravate their mental health; from discrimination and stigma to navigating multiple oppressions, these communities often bear the brunt of mental illness.

Join us on Wednesday, June 22nd, to learn how to navigate these mental health challenges as an LGBTQ+ individual and how to support your LGBTQ+ loved ones as an ally. This discussion includes:

  • What are some unique mental health challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals face?
  • What are the biggest barriers to seeking help for LGBTQ+ mental health issues?
  • When and how should you seek support?
  • How can allies support LGBTQ+ people with their mental health?
