Online family therapy is helpful for families of all kinds — including parents and children, adult siblings, multi-generational households, stepfamilies, and families navigating caregiving roles. Whether you're working through conflict or simply want to strengthen your relationships, therapy can help improve communication, connection, and understanding at any stage of life.

Family therapy may be a good fit if your family is:

  • Dealing with unresolved conflict or communication breakdowns
  • Navigating major transitions like divorce, loss, relocation, or caregiving challenges
  • Struggling with mental health, substance use, or chronic illness affecting the family system
  • Working through long-standing tension between parents, adult children, or siblings
  • Facing issues that individual therapy hasn’t fully addressed that are rooted in family dynamics
  • Experiencing the impact of trauma or generational patterns
  • Open to working together to build healthier relationships and move forward

Even if your family isn’t in crisis, therapy can be a valuable space to grow, support each other, and improve how you relate — whether you're under one roof or living apart.

Our mission is to make quality therapy affordable and accessible. Do you take Insurance for family therapy?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet. Nunc ut sem vitae risus tristique posuere.

No. At this time we are out of network. We try to make our services as affordable as possible, and the cost of family therapy sessions with us is at $160/session for a 60-minute private family session, which is less than the average cost of family therapy in the U.S. ($175 to $300 per session). In fact, since some months have 5 sessions at the same monthly price, family therapy sessions with Grouport average $148 per session over time.

We can work with your family to provide you with an invoice for every billing cycle, which you can submit to your insurance provider to receive out-of-network reimbursement for our services. The reimbursement amount will vary depending on your insurance provider's policies, so you should check with your plan.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my billing at any time?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet. Nunc ut sem vitae risus tristique posuere.

Yes! You can change your plan anytime, whether that means adding or reducing sessions or switching to a different billing cycle. Changes take effect immediately.

✅ Upgrading your plan

  •  Adding more sessions per week (e.g., 1 session/week → 2 sessions/week).
  • Switching to a longer billing cycle (e.g., Monthly → Quarterly).
  • You’ll be charged a prorated difference based on the time remaining in your current plan.

✅ Downgrading your plan

  • Reducing the number of sessions per week (e.g., 3 sessions/week → 1 session/week).
  •    Switching to a shorter billing cycle (e.g., Quarterly → Monthly).
  •    This will result in a credit applied to your next renewal.

How do I cancel Family therapy?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet. Nunc ut sem vitae risus tristique posuere.

You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you’ll finish out whichever monthly billing period you’re on. To cancel, please email support@grouporttherapy.com, and they'll send you a form to complete to cancel your families' membership.

Only after submitting that form, will your membership be recognized as canceled; otherwise, the subscription will remain active. By doing so, you will stop receiving services at the end of your current monthly billing period.

No long-term commitment – cancel whenever you need.
Full access through your last monthly billing period after canceling.

What happens if I need to reschedule a family therapy session?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet. Nunc ut sem vitae risus tristique posuere.

If for whatever reason from time to time your family needs to reschedule a particular family therapy session, you can work with your therapist to reschedule that time slot with advance notice for that specific week – we just ask that you keep rescheduling a session that deviates from the recurring family therapy time to a minimum so that you and your therapist can stick to the standard recurring time for consistency and for ease of scheduling. If for whatever reason your family’s schedule changes, and you need to change the general recurring family therapy weekly slot, our team and your therapist will help you confirm a new recurring slot that overall works for your family’s calendar.
